It's time to sign up for SUMMER CAMP 2026!!! Based on the popular vote by the Scouts and approval by the Patrol Leader's Conference (PLC), we are going to Pfeffer Scout Reservation in Benton, Kentucky from June 14th through June 20th! I have attached the 2025 Leader's Guide and Parents' Guide to Pfeffer Scout Reservation, and both documents will be updated for 2026 in December. I'll send out the updated Leader's Guide and Parents' Guide for 2026 when they are released. Please sign up by completing the Google Form at this link below:

Detailed information is on the form!

February 14-16, 2026

Sign up here by December 29th, 2025 -

I must reserve bunk space on the USS Alabama 45 days out, so late entries will only be accepted if another scout backs out of the campout.

Costs: $85.00, which includes USS Alabama fee, food (all meals), and transportation reimbursement for adult drivers who take scouts.

Schedule: February 14th, Saturday, 8:30 am meet at church, depart by 9 am. Drive to the Greater Alabama Council Scout Shop and Eagle garden - eat lunch provided by the grubmaster. Drive to the USS Alabama, tour, and sleep in the ship's bunk beds.

Sunday move to the Naval Base Pensacola campground, tour the National Naval Aviation Museum (including Blue Angel displays). Monday (school is out), February 16th, return to church by 2:30 pm-ish.

What to bring:

1) The grubmaster will provide all meals - we will eat our lunches on Saturday and Monday at stops along the way. Bring your own snacks if you want them, but no coolers are allowed on the battleship.

2) Tent camping on Sunday - bring what you need for this.

3) Sleeping in the USS Alabama - you are sleeping in a bunk in the basement of the ship - bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and hygiene kit (showers are available in the ship). Have a small backpack to take inside with you, as we will not unload all of our gear inside the USS Alabama - just what you need for sleep/hygiene.

Adults - I have planned a gas reimbursement based upon mileage costs to and from for each scout and scouter. I need someone to tow the trailer for this one because I sold my beloved truck!

1st: we will have a winter camping instruction led by Nate Blakely as well as Christmas card making.

8th: we’re having a Gingerbread house making competition and Christmas karaoke led by Colin Schuld and Thorne and roses from planning campout.

15th: Christmas movie night with hot chocolate and cookies, wear ugly sweaters and the movie is home alone.
