On Friday, February 17, the troop left for Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. We stayed at the Baymont Inn & Suites through the weekend. On Saturday morning, we headed to the slopes. First-time skiers went to ski school and the rest hit the slopes. Many people began work on their snow sports merit badge that day. By the end of the day, lots of people had become quite comfortable on their skis. On Sunday, the whole group went out to the slopes. Most of the first-time skiers continued work on their merit badge requirements, and by the end of the day, most had completed their skiing requirement with nothing left but the written test. By the end of the weekend, we had a whole group of skiers who had become "experts" in the powder.
