The November campout is the weekend of November 14-16!

We will be traveling to Brierfield Ironworks Historical State Park in

Brierfield, Alabama! The park is home to the ruins of the Brierfield

Ironworks Furnace and produced iron from 1861 until 1873.

This will be a "car camping" trip and we will camp right beside the

ruins of the furnace! We will also have a hands-on activity of learning

how to use a hammer and anvil to rivet together iron and leather to make

a keepsake!

We will also tour the ruins and hear about how cast and wrought iron was

made in olden times, and what replaced it in modern times!

Brierfield is about 2.5 hours from St. Johns, so we will need at least

7-8 adult leaders for this trip who can each ferry 3 Scouts each there

and back.

Brierfield Ironworks Historical State Park

240 Furnace Pkwy

Brierfield, AL 35035

Cost is $42 per person.
